In 1890, Jerome Wheeler was one of the world’s first billionaires. He was the first to have plumbing!!! *Jerome built the Hotel Jerome so people could stay there during the long harsh winters. He also built the Wheeler Opera house. If he didn’t come to Aspen, we wouldn’t have the things we have today.
