Aspen Real Estate and Snowmass Real Estate along with Pitkin County as a whole had $115.9 million in February real estate sales, amounting to more than double February 2010, stated by Land Title Guarantee Co.
Aspen had the most sales with $115.9 million, followed by Snowmass Village at $9 million, then Woody Creek $871,481, and Basalt at $730,000. Fractional sales amounted to an impressive $4.4 million.
The average single family home sold in Pitkin County for $5.57 million through February of this year, representing a healthy increase of 28% from last year.
February 2011 marked fifty transactions with 19 in Aspen. Dollar amounts in transaction for February 2011 were increased 136% over February 2010.
There were 35% more transaction for January and February 2011 than the same two months last year, amounting to a 35% increase. Also, the first two months of this year had $200 million in sales, again amounting to a healthy increase of 91.5% over the same period last year.
