The sales volume of real estate sales in the Aspen Snowmass area topped over $1 billion for the year in October, according to Land Title Guarantee Co.
Aspen Snowmass real estate has remained strong, but not like it did up to the end of 2007.
Three big sales in October with a dollar volume of $197.04 million, easily was better than last October total of $126.61 million. The year over increase was 56%.
Helping this year’s performance was the sale of the St. Regis- Aspen for $70 million.
However, at the end of October 2006 total volume sales were over $2 billion and went on to set a record for total sales of Aspen Snowmass area real estate.
According to Land Title Guarantee Co., the average home in Aspen sold year to date is $4.9 million. Whereas, the median Aspen family home sold for $3.5 million, year to date.
