Aspen Snowmass area real estate has been all over the map so far this year going up and down, but market data shows slow pace upward. That same pace upward was what we experienced overall in the real estate market in 2011.
Aspen Homes in 2011 above ten million dollars sold extremely well. The same can be said for the lower priced properties because bargain hunters are looking for deals, and some sellers had to sell.
It can be frustrating for sellers caught in the middle because properties are being listed for longer periods and still not selling. Many are forced to reduce the asking price, and still can’t sell. It will take some time for the built up inventory to sell. A property usually will sell if it is priced right, but there is just no liquidity in the market right now. So, this makes it very difficult and challenging to sell a property. The good news in this challenging market is for the buyers. But it can still be a challenge to find deals and motivated sellers willing to sell at realistic prices. I pride myself on finding the best prices for my clients that want to buy.
