New Developments Announced for the Snowmass Base Village

Will the these new developments finally make Snowmass Village a year around destination? It is causing excitement and that is news in Snowmass Village. New residential, hotel, restaurant and retail offerings are coming and will at least get the Snowmass Base Village going again after sitting since 2008. It will be nice to get buildings on foundations and holes that were left after the recession hit. It can only look up for the Snowmass Base Village after the eyesore it has been.
The plans include the second phase of the Viceroy hotel. Adding more hotel condos, fitness center, owner’s lounge, ski valet, and game room by Christmas 2016.
The Aspen Skiing Company plans on building a Limelite hotel with 102 rooms and 18 residences. Also a new restaurant, bar, and resort pool that will be available to everyone including Capitol Peak Lodge owners and guests. Yeah!
Snowmass will also gain a Snowmass Mountain Club by the Elk Camp Gondola to give members and guests, unique skiing, recreational, and dining.
The Sunrise Company that owns the Dancing Bear in Aspen plans on building 41 fractional and whole ownership units. They plan on doing a rooftop to relax on.
I think these developments and next phase of the Snowmass Base Village can only help make Snowmass more of a year around destination.
