The Snowmass Village Silvertree Hotel that was recently sold along with the Snowmass Conference Center is going to be run as a Westin hotel. Major renovation is set to take place after the ski season. The Silvertree hotel was recently bought by a former division of Starwood Enterprises. This is good news for Snowmass Village and the Silvertree hotel that is in great need of a facelift and major renovation. The Silvertree is stated to become a 3.5 star hotel after renovations. This is great news for Westin too, which was trying to be the hotel at the Snowmass Base Village but was replaced last minute by the Viceroy management team. I think this brings needed upgrades to the hotel and to Snowmass Village. It will help Snowmass real estate recover in the long run.
